Church Profile3) Ministries Urban Missions, Inc. Urban Missions, Inc. (UMI) is an outreach ministry to the inner-city of Albany, GA. UMI was formed to expand the urban ministries established over the years by Christian Covenant Church. UMI received domestic non-profit status from the Georgia Secretary of State’s office in November 1999. A tax-exempt 501 (c)(3) from the IRS was received in June 2000. Elders Profile: Morris Gurr Morris was born in Americus, GA in July 1950 and came to Albany in the spring of 1972. He became a member of Christian Covenant Church in August of 1975. He and his family moved to Mission Viejo, CA in the summer of 1979 to help start Saddleback Covenant Church. They returned to Albany in the summer of 1987 and became an intricate part of CCC. Morris Gurr was set in as an elder at Christian Covenant Church in May of 1995. He was ordained as the Associate Pastor of CCC in March of 1999. He has and continues to faithfully serve the body at CCC. Bill Kreiser Bill was born in Harrisburg, PA. in October 1959 and moved to Albany, GA., in January 1987. He became a member of Christian Covenant Church in September 1997. Bill was set in as an elder at Christian Covenant Church in July of 2005. He served as the Youth Leader for 2 years, and he is a member of the Worship Team. Bill also serves as “Pastor of the Day” delivering the message that God has placed on his heart when called upon.
